Welcome to the website of global ornithologist Joe Cockram

Joe founded Avalon Wildlife from his home in Somerset in 2013, starting with guided tours of his local patch, the internationally recognised wetlands of the Somerset Levels.

Avalon Wildlife now has a much broader remit as Joe travels the world, sharing his knowledge and passion for the natural world through tours, photography, ecology services, and publications.
